Strike - Dec 8 is coming!

Greetings...

I hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving weekend last week.

Six months ago, we were standing in front of the Dale Carnegie Class, giving speech about what we are going to do on Dec 8, achievement that is significant in our life.

Today is a week before that day... where are we now? Let's share and have some fun at at Strike bowling in Bethesda (www.strikebethesda.com).

Please response to the group ( dc-v2412@googlegroup.com> by Tue night so I can make reservation. I was thinking we start at 5 PM till 9 PM (people who want to stay partying can do so).

If there are enough participants, I will make a reservation to Strike.
Please feel free to contact me for any questions.

Best,

Dale Carnegie Sales Training

Just last week I attended the graduation class for two of our employees who took the sales course. Very impressive. The class members had to give a seven minute sales presentation to the group. It was amazing to watch them go through the sales process that was centered on human relations. The top student in that class had not even started her first sales job yet her presentation was as polished as any sales veteran. If anyone has the need for a sales class this is it. I have been through a number of them in my career but none that seemed to spark the enthusiasm of students quite like this one did. Our employees had nothing but great things to say about the class. Check out a graduation if you get the chance. I hope everyone had a wonderful summer!

Look Forward, The Future Is Better.

Hi All,

It has been a while we are out of touch. How was your Jul 4th? I went to Canada during the week of July 4th. I had a great experience of fishing in one of the lake in Ontario and driving around the country!

I just wanted to share with you my last week story. I wish I could have 'assignment' every day and week to practice DC principals.

==

It was about 11 AM on Friday morning, Carmen (not the real name) called me on my desk. We had been having long weeks since we are going to have an audit by government. (Even I went for a week vacation, the stress built up very quickly in the office as we worked hard to prepare the data for the audit reports).

She was in charge of getting the reports from various people and compiled it to send for the consultant to get us better preparation. However, she didn't know how to send electronically large number of files. She sounded so stressful, and I recognized it right away, and answered her with pleasant voice and smile. We had some misunderstanding in the past that cost us time and relationship.

This time before we discuss on what she needs, I mentioned to her that I could hear from her voice that she was so tense, and I could understand that she had to juggle around with various people asking things she may not know what to ask. She admitted that's how she felt, her tone voice started to change to more relax. I am more relax too. I could offer her the assistance she needed, and we had a better conversation after that. By the end of the day, what we needed to accomplish was completed.

From this experience, I learned that recognizing other people feeling and where they stand will make the communication a lot better!
Have a great weekend!

Magic Formula - How to post to the blog?

Hi All,

Blogging is a new world to me, and I think I have the advantage of liking exploring this new world... As you may have known, I like the challenge. The blog site we are using is a part of Google Products. It's a good exercise for me to learn more about Google products, since I am going to teach " Google Mania: What can Google do for your for FREE? " on Saturday, June 23, 2007. Please take a look at http://www.takeaclass.org to see the description of the course.

Many of you having questions on how to post to the blog?

The step you need to take is first, you have to accept the invitation to be a blog contributor, and once you accept that, the e-mail you sent to fadoli.dc-v2412@blogger.com will be automatically posted to our blog (website): http://dc-v2412.blogspot.com .

I took the sample the great e-mail that Dan sent on " A 2 Minute Magic Formula incident", which is very inspiring and encouraging us to practice DC principles. What he will need to do is to send the same e-mail to fadoli.dc-v2412@blogger.com. He will be credited as the Contributor and his story will be automatically available on our blogsite. Yes, that e-mail address has my id there as the blog was under my account :-).

So, if you have similar stories, announcement, or something you want to share to the world, you can just e-mail it to:
fadoli.dc-v2412@blogger.com

If you have difficulties to remember our blog website address, Internet Explorer, Netscape Navigator, or Fire Fox have bookmark feature you can use and for the e-mail address, you can save it in your address book.

In any rate, the action I want you to do is to accept the invitation and you will be part of this great technology!

PS. Please make sure before you send your blog posting to fadoli.dc-v2412@blogger.com, you may want to delete your signature, so it won't be published it to the whole world. Otherwise, you can edit it later... (I will write another posting for this).

Happy Blogging!
